Michael Lindberg Daniels, 68, of Fairmont Road, Arnettsville passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 17, 1951, in Buckhannon, a son of Charles Lindberg Daniels, of Flemington, and the late Mary Louise Loudin Daniels.
Michael obtained his Masters of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and pastored with the United Methodist Church in the West Virginia Conference where he touched the lives of many for over 40 years. He was currently serving the local United Methodist Church charge consisting of Arnettsville, Snyder Temple, Laurel Point, and Lynch Chapel. Pastor Michael was an avid student and teacher of the Bible and everyone who heard him mentioned that he was an excellent speaker. He was also an automotive hobbyist, who loved to maintain and repair cars.
In addition to his father, Michael is survived by his wife, Priscilla Walker Locke Daniels; one son, Aaron Michael Daniels, of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Rachel Daniels Lantz and husband Bill, of Terra Alta, and Alexis Mary Daniels, of Arnettsville; two sisters; Jane Daniels Sine and Susan Daniels Bailey, both of Fairmont; and three grandchildren, Kraven Lantz, Raina Lantz and Alayna Lantz, all of Terra Alta.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Michael’s memory to the Wesleyan Covenant Association, P.O. Box 667 Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 13 and at the Terra Alta First United Methodist from noon Saturday, March 14, until the 1 p.m. funeral service. Burial will be arranged at a later date.
