Scott Dale McIntyre, 63, of Morgantown, passed away afternoon Sunday, March 8, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Scott was born Dec. 9, 1956, in Morgantown, a son of the late Howard and Catherine Regina (Yoak) McIntyre.
Survivors include his four siblings, Maxine Solt and husband George, of Morgantown and Ft. Myers, Fla., Robert “Bob” McIntyre, of Newburg, Thelma Stone and husband Mike, of Morgantown, and Billie Jo Tennant, of Morgantown, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by two siblings, Martha Sturba and Mary Roy.
Scott was a dedicated WVU Mountaineer fan, following football, basketball and baseball. He was a genuine sweetheart, a gentle and kind man who would help anyone. He never complained and was always a strong-willed man who did whatever he needed to get through life.
At the request of the family, Scott will be cremated. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the East Oak Grove Cemetery where he will be inurned with the rest of his family.
