Spark! Science & Imagination Center hosts Family Fun Night with activities and snacks

Families who participate in Monongalia County Health Department’s Women, Infants, & Children program along with Head Start and Early Head Start in Monongalia County were treated to a night of fun and healthy foods and activities Thursday night at Spark! Science & Imagination Center.

The Monongalia County Health Department hosted Family
Fun Night, with the theme “Be Transformed by Good Nutrition — Bite by Bite.” March is National Nutrition Month, and it is organized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The popular, award-winning book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” by Eric Carle,
which focuses on a caterpillar who eats his way through several pieces of fruit before transforming into a butterfly, was read. The caterpillar also made an appearance.
