Kathryn Lynn ‘Kathy’ Thompson, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at WVU Hospitals.
The daughter of the late Mary Kathryn (Rosier) Keller and Clyde Francis Keller, she was born Oct. 4, 1951, in Morgantown.
Kathy enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. She was employed by JCPenney and formerly worked at Eat’n Park. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ernest ‘Bill’ Thompson; a daughter, Rebecca Thompson; a son, William ‘Billy’ Thompson; six grandchildren: Ronnie, Chris, Sydni, Katie, Mackenzie and Abby; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Johnson, Betsy Hardman, and Constance Cost; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Hurley; a son, Ernest Thompson III; two sisters, Rebecca Friend and Nancy Rhodes; and two brothers, Daniel Keller and Larry Keller.
Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and again from 10 a.m. Thursday, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
