Iantha Adams Miller, 94, of Terra Alta, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Md.
The daughter of the late Howard and Effie Channell Adams, she was born May 9, 1925, in Huttonsville.
She graduated from Tygarts Valley High School in 1944. She worked for the U.S. Coast Guard in Curtis Bay, Md., and the Melrose Slipper factory in White Plains, N.Y. They moved to Terra Alta in 1959, and she worked as a secretary for Clem Teets Oil Company and then Marraras in Kingwood.
She enjoyed time with family. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Freeland United Methodist Church. She loved to laugh, play cards, walk, work in the garden and hang out with her friends. They wintered in Florida when her husband was living.
She is survived by three children; a son, Preston Miller, of Terra Alta; two daughters, Eleanor Miller, of Terra Alta, and Bridget Ann Miller, of S. Daytona Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Metairie and Solon Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Miller, whom she married on Feb. 4, 1950; two brothers, Forest and Samuel Adams; and two sisters, Salina Simpson and Wanna Tracey.

At her request, there will be no funeral service. There will be a private graveside service at the Terra Alta Cemetery at a later date.
