Margaret (Peggy) Dragich (Drigich), 90, of Katy Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 27, 2020, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born Jan. 17, 1930, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Ezra L. and Annie Riggs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dragich.
Peggy was a lifelong member of the Katy community as well as the White Rock Community Church, where she served as treasurer until recent years. She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and retired in 1988 from Philips Lighting with over 30 years of service. Peggy was loved and respected by all. She showed us how to love and never said a harsh word about anyone. If only we could all be like Memaw.
She is survived by her daughter Susan and husband, Alan Neptune of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Seth and wife Katie Neptune, of Petersburg, Ezra Grant and wife April, of Bozeman, Mont., and Alana Neptune, of Nashville, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Parker Neptune of Petersburg.
She is also survived by stepchildren, George and wife Donna Dragich, Tom Dragich and Bernadette Dragich, as well as several nieces and nephews, and her adoptive granddaughter, Whitney Porter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Hermis, George and Steen Riggs, sister, Katherine Slaman and stepdaughter Theresa Laratta.
The family would like to thank Dan and Mary Wright, Dave McCoy, Lisa and Robert Sawitski, Mickey and Brian Cutlip, the Katy Community family and the White Rock Community Church. You loved her unconditionally and made it possible for her to live independently as long as possible.
A special thank you also goes to Mildred, Eileen, Brenda, Debbie and Carolyn who helped her in these last tender months.
Memorial donations may be made to either the WVU Medicine Childrens, P.O. Box 1650, Morgantown, WV 26507 or to the White Rock Community Church, P.O. Box 9054, Monongah, WV 26554.
