James F. Johnson Jr., 57, of Charleston, formerly of Miracle Run, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, in the Hubbard Hospice House West in South Charleston.
He was born Dec. 19, 1962, in Morgantown, a son of the late James F. Johnson and Mary Jo Childers Johnson.
Jimmie, as he was known by family and friends, worked at Kroger in Morgantown when his health permitted.
Surviving are aunts and uncles, Melvin Johnson, of the Kingwood Pike, John Johnson, of Alexandria, Va., Ruth Johnson, of Fairview, and Rose Caltrider, of Parkersburg; and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Maysel Johnson and Tracy Johnson.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Drew Reveal officiating. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
