Lena Brewer, 89, of Cassville, passed Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at the Evergreen Assisted Living Facility in Morgantown. Lena was born April 30, 1930 in Masontown, W.Va., daughter to Larry and Donata Bombardiere.
Lena was a homemaker for many years and loved to crochet, quilt, cook and bake. She was known for her homemade Italian dishes and made bread every week. She was also fond of gardening and canning.
Lena is survived by her daughters, Barbara Drvar and husband Mike, Janet Petrucci and husband Jack, all of Morgantown; brother-in-law, Kenneth Brewer, of Union; four grandchildren, Tracy Casteel, of Morgantown, Jennifer Wade and husband Brandon, of Kansas, Jay Petrucci and wife Jessica, of Liberty, Utah and Ryan Petrucci and wife Erica, of Morgantown. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph Brewer; an infant son; brothers, Frankie, James, Dominick and Geno; sisters, Helen, Rosie, Yolanda and Mary.
Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, and again from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Lena will be laid to rest beside her husband at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
