JoAnn (Riley) DeBerry, age 62, of Kingwood, died, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born Jan. 8, 1958, in Kingwood, and was a daughter of the late William J. and Flora Alice (Riley) Scott.
JoAnn, being a woman of faith, enjoyed helping everyone who was in need. She was a member of the Kingwood Apostolic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roy Lee Newlon; three sons, Steve DeBerry and spouse Amy, Patrick DeBerry and Christopher Riley, all of Kingwood; two daughters, Brittany Riley and Makayla Zweyer, both of Kingwood; one sister, Polly and Richard Buckingham, of Kingwood; three grandchildren, Tyler Kelley, of Kingwood, Blaine and Ryan DeBerry, of Reedsville; and one niece, Melissa Zweyer and spouse William, of Bruceton Mills.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was also preceded in death by one son, Michael C. “Hawk” DeBerry in 2002; one brother, Doug Riley; and one sister, Margaret Riley.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St. from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, and from noon Wednesday, Feb. 19 to the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Tim Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at the Riley Cemetery in Kingwood.
