Television show “Parks and Recreation” first introduced the world to Galentine’s Day 10 years ago. And now women everywhere celebrate each other on the unofficial holiday, which falls on Feb. 13 — the day before Valentine’s Day.
The Morgantown chapter of Boss Babes WV got in on the action Thursday. The nonprofit organization hosted a clothing swap at Terra Cafe. Attendees were asked to bring up to five items to swap.
Along with exchanging duds, they were also welcome to get food, sweet treats and beverages from the eatery. And there was live music.
While there was no admission charge, organizers did accept donations of unopened feminine hygiene products to be given to the Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center.
