Frostburg State 74, Glenville State 72 | Box Score
FROSTBURG, Md. – Daniel Alexander’s driving jumper with just seconds left at the end of regulation gave Frostburg State a 74-72 win over Glenville State on Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Arena.
Frostburg State led by one at halftime, and the game remained close for the entirety of the second half. Steven Verplancken’s jumper broke a 69-69 tie with just under two minutes to play, and but Frostburg’s Desmond Rene’s had the answer on the other end to tie the game again.
Verplancken made 1-of-2 at the line with :55 seconds left to put the Pioneers back in front, and after a Bobcat rebound, the teams traded turnovers giving Frostburg State the ball late. Alexander then took the ball at the top of the key and drove down the left side of the lane and hit the game-winning jumper.
Alexander finished the game with 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead Frostburg State (9-13, 6-10). Rene was the only other player to reach double figures in scoring with 12.
Two players had double-doubles for Glenville State (13-9, 10-6) in Verplancken (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Hegel Augustin (16 points, 15 rebounds). Ty Robinson tossed in 11 more for the Pioneers.
West Virginia Wesleyan 70, Urbana 56 | Box Score
URBANA, Ohio – Dusan Vicentic’s 26 points and 14 rebounds lead West Virginia Wesleyan to a 70-56 win on Saturday afternoon at the Grimes Center.
WVWC (9-13, 8-8) shot 53 percent from the field from the game in the win. Vicentic was 12-of-19 for his 26 points. Luka Petrovic had 13 points, nine assists, four rebounds and three steals.
Tehree Horn hit four three-pointers and finished with 14 points for Urbana (5-17, 4-12). Marion Lacy contributed 12 and Shaunn Monroe notched 10.
Fairmont State 79, Concord 71 | Box Score
FAIRMONT, W.Va. – A 15-2 run to open the second half helped Fairmont State to a 79-71 win on Saturday afternoon at Joe Retton Arena.
The Falcons (16-5, 11-5) led just 35-34 at the break, but came out and made their first six shots, including three from deep, to surge in front, 50-36. Fairmont State would stay in front the rest of the way.
Ilisia Washington led Fairmont State with 17 points. Isaiah Sanders had 16 points, while Dale Bonner poured in 16 points to go with eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals. Kenzie Melko-Marshall scored 13 points and had six rebounds.
Fairmont State managed the victory despite being outrebounded, 48-30. The Falcons took advantage of 24 Concord turnovers.
The Mountain Lions (7-15, 4-12) received a game-high 25 points from David Mulumba, who also recorded 10 rebounds. Liam Evans was 7-of-11 from the field and finished with 15 points and also pulled down 12 rebounds. Martin Kelly Jr. had 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Ethan Heller scored 11 points to go with six rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Notre Dame 74, Davis & Elkins 60 | Box Score
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Notre Dame built a 16-point lead at halftime and settled for a 74-60 win over Davis & Elkins on Saturday afternoon at Murphy Gymnasium.
Levi Frankland was a tidy 9-of-11 from the field and scored a game-high 25 points for Notre Dame (8-14, 6-10). He also had seven rebounds. Drew Scarberry tossed in 12 more, while Daniel Lott netted 11 points. DeAnthony Owens scored 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Davis & Elkins (6-16, 4-12) was led by 16 points and six rebounds from Erkam Kiris. Donte Doleman had 14 points, and Myles Monroe tossed in 13.
Wheeling 87, West Virginia State 78 | Box Score
WHEELING, W.Va. – Wheeling built a 14-point halftime lead and held off West Virginia State, 87-78, on Saturday afternoon at the McDonough Center.
The Cardinals led 37-23 at the break, but it didn’t take long for West Virginia State to get back in the game with a 12-2 run in the first five minutes of the second half to get within four, 39-35.
Wheeling answered back and pushed the lead back to double digits, but the Yellow Jackets made another push and got to within five with just over a minute to play at 81-76. Jay Gentry made a layup for the Cards, and then after a miss, John Korte made two free throws to give WU the breathing room it needed to secure the victory.
Jordan Reid led Wheeling (12-8, 9-7) with 26 points, five assists and five rebounds. Jarett Haines and Korte each scored 15, and Jeremiah April had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Wheeling shot 54 percent from the field in the win.
Jeremiah Moore played all 40 minutes and had game-highs in points (28) and rebounds (16) for the Yellow Jackets (15-6, 10-6). Michal Seals scored 19 and had five assists, and Glen Abram chipped in 14.

Wheeling 75, West Virginia State 72 | Final Stats
WHEELING, W.Va. — Wheeling’s Lilly Ritz tied an NCAA record with 36 rebounds to help the Cardinals slip by West Virginia State, 75-72, on Saturday afternoon at the McDonough Center.
Ritz matched the record set by Christine DeSaine of West Virginia Tech against Ohio Valley back on January 30, 1995. She also had 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting and blocked six shots.
The Cardinals (9-13, 8-8) were down 71-70 with under 15 seconds to play, when Khira Burton hit a three off an offensive rebound to put the Cards in front. West Virginia State was fouled at the other end but made only 1-of-2, and then put Wheeling back on the line where Burton made two more free throws. WVSU’s desperation three at the buzzer would not fall.
Burton finished with 13 points and had five assists. Taliah Cashwell chipped in 12.
WVSU (8-14, 6-10) was led by 14 points from Charity Shears. Sierra Womack notched 12 and Peyton Shears contributed 10.
Notre Dame 76, Davis & Elkins 67 | Final Stats
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — Notre Dame pulled away from Davis & Elkins in the fourth quarter to earn a 76-67 win over the Senators on Saturday afternoon at Murphy Gymnasium.
Just a two-point game after three quarters, NDC outscored D&E 26-19 in the final 10 minutes. The Falcons were 10-of-16 from the floor during that stretch, while Davis & Elkins made 5-of-12 from the floor. Notre Dame was also able to take care of the ball for the entire game committing just nine turnovers, compared to 28 for the Senators.
Jennifer Oduho led the way for Notre Dame (19-3, 13-3) with 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting. Seina Adachi scored 13 to go with seven rebounds and six assists. Jada Marone had 12 points, five steals and four assists.
Jamiyah Johnson had 19 points and 19 rebounds to lead D&E (6-16, 5-11). Sydney Nestor tossed in 13 points and five rebounds.
Concord 89, Fairmont State 72 | Final Stats
FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Concord shot 65 percent from the field as it cruised to an 89-72 win over Fairmont State on Saturday at Joe Retton Arena.
The Mountain Lions (14-8, 10-6) made 37-of-57 on the day, including 8-of-14 from behind the arc. Concord shot 73 percent from the field through three quarters before cooling off in the final 10 minutes. CU had 23 assists on its 37 baskets and outrebounded Fairmont State by five.
Riley Fitzwater’s double-double (23 points, 17 rebounds) led Concord. She was 11-of-13 from the field. Maggie Guynn had 17 points, and Keely Lundy netted 15.
Kamrin Weimer led Fairmont State (11-11, 8-8) with 18 points. Rachel Laskody had the double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Katy Darnell added 12 more for the Falcons.
Glenville State 93, Frostburg State 69 | Final Stats
FROSTBURG, Md. — Glenville State extended its winning streak to 12 as the Pioneers defeated Frostburg State, 93-69, on Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Arena.
The Pioneers (18-4, 14-2) were led by Ty Armstrong’s 25 points. Re’Shawna Stone had 18 points to go with six rebounds and five assists. Emily Stoller added 14 more and had six rebounds.
Victoria Diggs paced Frostburg State (4-18, 3-13) with 22 points. Morgan Dombroski and Amanda Emory each scored 13 for the Bobcats.
Urbana 94, West Virginia Wesleyan 60 | Final Stats
URBANA, Ohio — Urbana had five players score in double figures as the Blue Knights rolled to a 94-60 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at the Grimes Center.
The Blue Knights (14-8, 10-6) shot 50 percent of the field and had a 54-35 edge on the glass in the win. Urbana outscored WVWC 46-28 in the paint.
Tyra James filled the box score with 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Bailey Draughn also had 16 points. Weston Minnich (15), Sylvia Hudson (13) and Kami McEldowney (12) all scored in double figures.
Cierra Tolbert led WVWC (3-19, 1-15) with 16 points and eight rebounds. Courtney Wilfong tossed in 11 more.
