MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — After a 2-0 season-opening weekend, the West Virginia tennis team continues its two-week homestand with matches against Buffalo on Friday and George Washington on Saturday, at the Summit Tennis Academy in Morgantown.
“We are looking forward to our second week of competition,” WVU coach Miha Lisac said. “Our goals for the weekend include building up on last week’s matches and improving in singles and doubles.”
Friday’s match against Buffalo is set to begin at 1 p.m.
Buffalo enters the match with a 2-0 record, defeating St. Bonaventure, 7-0, and Niagara, 7-0, last weekend.
West Virginia completes its weekend with a noon matchup Saturday against George Washington.
The Colonials come to Morgantown with a 2-2 record with wins over Morgan State, 5-2, and Coppin State, 4-1. George Washington’s two losses are from William & Mary, 4-0, and Duquesne, 5-2.
