Thelma Marie Rodeheaver, 75, of Kingwood, died on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, at her home.
Thelma was born on Dec. 11, 1944, in Kingwood, the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Adams.
Thelma and her husband, Ben, both ran a paper route for the Dominion Post for over 20 years to many areas of Preston County. She still worked her route up until her death. Thelma was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake and make wedding cakes. She belongs to Valley Point Apostolic Church and loved to be around her family.
She is survived by two sons, Charles “Chuck” Sawyer, of Kingwood, and Tom Sawyer and spouse Jennifer, of Kingwood; two brothers, Roger Adams, of Kingwood, and Ronald Adams, of Point Marion, Pa.; one sister Kay Corob, of Morgantown; two granddaughters, Kasey Sawyer, of Kingwood and Bethany Sawyer, of Tunnelton; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 45 years, Benny “Ben” Joe Rodeheaver, passed away the day after Thelma on Feb. 5, 2020.
In addition to her mother, Thelma was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Adams and one infant sister.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price St., from 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with the Reverend J.W. Kelley officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Kingwood.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Thelma’s memory to Valley Point Apostolic Church, 9188 N. Preston Highway, Albright, WV 26519.
