Michael K. “Mike” Burnside, 64, of Kingwood, died on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, at his home.
Mike was born Oct. 18, 1955, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Richard O. “Dick” and Ethel Hope (Welch) Burnside.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Kingwood, the Muddy Creek Recreational Club and the Preston County Country Club. Mike was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son and spouse, Richard “Bo” and Ashely Burnside, of Kingwood; his daughter, Nicole R. Wolfe, of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Rowen Vista Wolfe, Beckett Wade Burnside and Hadlee Hope Burnside; special cousin and spouse, Robert and Jeannette Statler, and their son, Rob Statler of Chardon, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price St., from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, and from 2 p.m. Friday,
Feb. 7, until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at
3 p.m. with the Rev. Frances J. McCoy officiating. Cremation will be conducted by Rotruck-Lobb crematory following the service.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Mike’s memory to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 543, Kingwood, WV 26537.
