Clay-Battelle boys rout Paden City 97-52

PADEN CITY, W.Va. — The Clay-Battelle High boys’ basketball team was on fire offensively in its 97-52 win over Paden City on Tuesday.

Levi Carrico led the Cee-Bees (15-1) in scoring with 24 points. Coltin Barr scored 16, Carson Shriver and Seth Casino scored 15 points and Mojo Chisler added 11.

Clay-Battelle got off to a hot start and never looked back — outscoring Paden City 57-26 in the first half. In total, the Cee-Bees made 40 field goals in the contest.

Clay-Battelle will play again at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Ritchie County in the semifinal round of the West Virginia Hit Tournament.
