WHEELING, W.Va. — The University High girls’ basketball team couldn’t do much right defensively before falling to Wheeling Park, 67-48, in an OVAC semifinal matchup Monday.
Mallory Napolillo led the Hawks (11-7) with 15 points, and Ashten Boggs added 12.
University had a hard time defensively. Wheeling Park made 11 3-pointers and got to the free throw line 18 times.
The Hawks will play again Thursday against a team to be named later in the next round of the OVAC tournament.
