The West Virginia Division of Highways closed one eastbound lane of Interstate 68 Tuesday afternoon because of a pothole on the bridge over Lower Aaron’s Creek Road.
This hole went through the bridge, and debris from it littered the road below. The bridge is at mile marker 3.
The right eastbound lane on the bridge was closed and the DOH alerted motorists via West Virginia 511 about 4 p.m. DOH crews were on the scene about 5:30 p.m.
Motorists were also warned to use caution in that area.
