Bryce Thomas Bishoff, 17, of Bruceton Mills, passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020.
He was born on October 17, 2002, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Bryce is survived by his parents, Duane and Tammy Bishoff; his 13-year-old sister, Brynna Elizabeth; grandparents, Terry and Nancy Feather; his aunt, Tracy Feather; great-grandma, Elsie Everly; Lexi, Logan, and the Wright family; Vickie D’Avanzo; Nora Martin; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brayden James; his grandparents, Delmer and Helen Bishoff; and Wilda Bishoff, all of Bruceton Mills.
Bryce was a junior at Preston High School where he was a member of the FFA chapter. He was also a member of the Preston County Livestock Association, the WV Junior Hereford Association and the WV Junior Angus Association.
He loved farming and wanted to be able to do it full time after school. He helped his Pap make hay in the summer and took care of the farm at home. He worked for Valley Point Farmers Feed and Supply since he was 14. He also helped Cord, Houston and Rachel on the farm.
Bryce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. His true passion, however, was showing livestock. He loved to work with animals and fit them for show. His hobby became a job, as he began to work for several farms at various shows around the country. Recently, he traveled to the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado to work for a week. He made friends with others from all over the state who became our show family. He also loved to spin his tires and blow black smoke in his diesel truck. He was always adding things to his truck, from new tires and rims to his underglow.
The family will welcome friends at the Apostolic Life Tabernacle, located at 9188 North Preston Hwy., in Valley Point, from noon-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, and from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, until the 11 a.m. service, with Pastor Craig Bolyard officiating. We ask that you wear your jeans and Dude’s or boots.
Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills will be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
