Ladies ruled the night Tuesday at 123 Pleasant Street, when the Morgantown chapter of Boss Babes WV gathered for a meet-up.

The goal of the Charleston-based nonprofit — which also has chapters in Huntington and Fayetteville — is “connecting women, femme and nonbinary people in a community,” according to its Facebook page.

The meet-ups are free and often include food, vendors, participation by community organizations and a featured speaker.

Empowerment is another key aim of Boss Babes, which, in addition to meet-ups, hosts classes, panels and workshops.

The next area event is a clothing swap set for 4:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Terra Cafe.

Attendees are asked to bring up to five items to swap. Admission will be free, but the nonprofit will accept unopened menstrual products to donate to RDVIC.
