Joyce Ann Osborne Hester Masters, 90, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at Sundale Nursing Home. She was born on Oct. 7, 1929, in Obetz, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hobson Clay and the late Ida Mae Osborne.
Joyce graduated from Morgantown High School and was a secretary by trade. Joyce was the wife of the late James D. Masters of Dothan, Ala. where they resided prior to returning to Morgantown after his death in 2012.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Hester Dorsey and spouse Daniel, of Southport, N.C.; Kathryn Hester Linton and spouse Bradley, of Morgantown; four grandchildren: Brandon Linton and spouse Sara, of Morgantown, Rebecca Linton White, of Fairmont, Jonathan Dorsey and spouse Mandy, of Millersville, Md., Jason Dorsey and spouse Brittany, of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Connie Costo, of Phoenix, Ariz. and Patricia Morgan John, of Morgantown; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, James, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jean Delong, formerly of Morgantown and a granddaughter, Barbara Kayann Linton, formerly of Uniontown, Pa.
Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 25, at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
