Dennis Lee Snyder, 80, of Pentress, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born Dec. 30, 1939 in Elkins, a son of the late Milford Snyder and Kathleen Taylor Snyder.
Mr. Snyder was a retired coal miner, having retired with 31 years of service at the Blackville #2 Mine.
Dennis was a member of the Olive United Methodist Church at Pentress.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian G. Walls Snyder; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki Tennant and her husband Doug, of Blacksville; one sister and her spouse, Judy Thompson and her husband John, of Holmes, Pa.; three grandchildren, Cristy Tennant, Denise Bohn, and Paige Snyder; and three great-grandchildren, Tristan Tennant, Clarkson McHenry and Lily McHenry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Lee Snyder II; one daughter, Rhonda Stutler; one sister, Ellen Rubino; and three brothers, Herbert Snyder, James Snyder and Bill Snyder.
Mr. Snyder has chosen cremation as his method of final disposition. He also chose to have no services.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
