Utility work near the trail between Beechurst Avenue and Monongahela River will close the trail now through Feb. 10.
The utilities are being run for the future West Virginia University Reynolds Hall.
Reynolds will be built at the site of the old Stansbury Hall, which was demolished in recent weeks to make room for the new business college building.
The work will necessitate the closing of the trail between the Seneca Center and Hazel Ruby McQuain Park.
A signed detour will be provided. This approximately 1/2-mile detour will put walkers on the sidewalk of Beechurst Avenue and cyclists on Beechurst Avenue with vehicle traffic.
