William Albright Sr.

William “Bill” Elwood Albright Sr., 70, of Masontown, W.Va., passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.

William was born in Preston County, on Aug. 25, 1949, a son of the late James Albright Sr. and the late Juanita (Johnson) Albright DeBerry and stepfather Wayne DeBerry Sr.

He enjoyed the outdoors, cookouts, camping and playing horseshoes.

William is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 48 years, Laura Pearl “Sue” (Valentine) Albright; two daughters, Mary Beveridge, of Masontown, W.Va., and Christina Albright, of Arthurdale; a son, William “BJ” Elwood Albright Jr., of Masontown, W.Va.; three beloved grandchildren, Felisha Dawn Albright, Tyla Lennae Hodgekins and Jacolyn Marie Beveridge; three sisters, Robin Glover, Vickie Hodge and Gwenda Albright; two brothers, Steven DeBerry and Jim Albright; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne DeBerry Jr., Lynn DeBerry and David DeBerry Sr.; a sister, “Che-Che” Fortney; and three beloved nephews.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown W.Va. from 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 until the 1 p.m. service time with Pastor Kelly Gamble and the Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. To honor his wishes he will then be cremated.
