BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Morgantown High’s defense was too much for Buckhannon-Upshur as the Mohigans were able to notch the 51-35 win Monday.
Kaitlyn Ammons scored 19 points to lead Morgantown (4-6). Lindsay Bechtel scored 13 points and Cat Wassick scored 11.
The Mohigans held Buckhannon-Upshur to just 13 field goals in the contest.
Morgantown scored 21 points in the second quarter, which helped propel the Mohigans to victory. Buckhannon-Upshur couldn’t overcome the 14-point deficit at halftime.
Morgantown will play again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against Wheeling Park.
