Tonight a fundraiser for Morgantown High School’s Red & Blue Spectrum Club will be held at Retro-tique.
The fundraiser, A Day for Change, will encourage anti-bullying and inclusivity and feature live music, a raffle, stand-up comedians and several artists, according to Carly O’Neal, who helped organize the event.
O’Neal said her transgender nephew is part of the club, which doesn’t receive any funding and is trying to raise money for shirts and a spot in the next Morgantown Pride Day.
The fundraiser starts at 7 p.m. and entry is $5.
Retro-tique owner Jillian Kelly said she is donating the use of her shop for the fundraiser and part of the reason she has such a large space is to allow artists to perform or host shows.
Kelly also recently opened a dedicated space for that purpose next to Retro-tique through the nonprofit Morgantown Art Party, however for this event, the store’s larger space is being used.
