Snow, ice forces road to close for 2 hours
Tuesday’s snow and ice caused several accidents across Monongalia County, including an 18-vehicle collision on Chaplin Hill Road.
Monongalia County Sheriff Perry Palmer said five people were taken to the hospital as a result of the accident on Chaplin Hill Road. Their conditions were unknown in time for this report.
Palmer said the accident was caused by the snow and ice.
