Mon adds gastroenterologist

In an effort to increase patient accessibility to advanced GI care, Mon Health Medical Center added gastroenterologist Dr. Gorman Joel Reynolds to its team of physicians. Reynolds brings more than a decade of experience during a time when digestive care and gastroenterology services are needed most.

“The demand for gastroenterology care is growing, and Dr. Reynolds offers Mon Health patients 12 years of experience in treating these types of conditions,” said David Goldberg, president and CEO of Mon Health. “Not only is he highly qualified, but he genuinely cares for his patients at an individualized level.”

Reynolds treats a variety of digestive conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, liver disease, esophageal disease, pancreatitis and other diseases of the stomach and intestines. He also brings years of experience in procedures used to diagnose and treat digestive conditions, including esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy and more advanced procedures.

“Mon Health has a long history of being the health care provider of choice in Morgantown and I want to be able to offer my patients the best,”   Reynolds said. “I look forward to providing that kind of care for them along with my colleagues and the warm, capable and kind people who encompass this great organization.”

Reynolds joins fellow gastroenterologist Dr. JoAnn O’Keefe, who has been with the hospital for over three years. Together, they represent more than four decades of experience and care to patients in need of gastroenterological services.

Reynolds joined Mon Health Medical Center in the beginning of December. A graduate of the University of Kentucky Medical School, he previously practiced medicine at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio; West Virginia University Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia; Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia; and Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, West Virginia.
