Virginia Florence Braham, 90, of Kingwood, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at Windy Hill Manor with loving family by her side.
She was born May 18, 1929, in Preston County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Clarcie Mae Taylor Burke.
Virginia was a nurse’s aide for Preston Memorial Hospital; a member of the Howesville United Methodist Church and she loved quilting, traveling and spending time with family.
She is survived by her three sons and spouses, Larry Braham and MaryAnn, Roger Braham and Sherry and Marvin (Butch) Braham and Ann; her two daughters and spouses, Sharon Graham and Donald and Michele Kelly and Robert; nine grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy and Kim Braham, Nick Braham, Scott and Gina Braham, Ryan and Missy Braham, Brian and Carmela Graham, Kimberly Thierfelder, Justin and Susan Braham, Dustin Braham and companion, Shana Savage and Rachel Kelly; great-grandchildren, Cody and Heather Braham and son, Carter, Sierra Braham, Joshua Braham, Alex Braham, Carly Braham, Colby Braham, Zack and Katie Braham and their children, Carson and Isabella, Rhett and Kelli Braham, Lynirah Braham, Mark Graham, Candyce Graham and companion, Shawn White and her son, Levi, Kayla Graham, Kolton Thierfelder, Wyatt Braham, Weston Braham, Mackenzie Braham and Layla Braham; a brother-in-law, Clifford Smith; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Williams and Beulah Day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Braham in 1983; four brothers, Russell, James (Bill), George (Bud) and Frank Burke; and her seven sisters, Freda Everly, Myrtle Yauger, Lucy Braham, Birthel Stone, Carrie Bolyard, Amanda Hovatter and Martha Smith.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood, from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 and from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, until 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with Pastor Rick Bloom officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
