Nancy Wolfe-Dilgard

Nancy Wolfe-Dilgard, 67, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at Mon-Health Medical Center. She was born Oct. 24, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late James D. Wolfe and Jane F. Painter Wolfe.

Nancy was a licensed therapist and also an educator at WVU for early childhood development. She was a member of the Lynch Chapel United Methodist Church and had been active in the local 4-H chapter. Nancy enjoyed the outdoors, swimming and hiking in the mountains, but her greatest love was spending time with her granddaughters. Nancy was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, who was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Dennis Dilgard, one daughter, Miriam and Donnie Virts, of Morgantown, one son, Willie Dilgard, of Morgantown, two granddaughters, Aubree Virts and Reagan Virts, one sister, Virginia and Rick Heasley of Pittsburgh, and one brother, James and Mary Wolfe, of Louisville, Ky.

Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Jane Dilgard and one brother, Larry Wolfe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nancy’s memory to Lynch Chapel at 25 Raleigh Place Westover, WV 26501 or Monongalia County 4-H Leaders Association C/O WVU Monongalia County Extension at 270 Mylan Park Lane Suite 250, Morgantown, WV 26501.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, and from 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Michael Daniels officiating. McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services following the service.
