Edgar Phillips, 87, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday Dec.r 31, 2019, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on Nov. 19, 1932, a son of the late Scott and Elizabeth Phillips.
Edgar was a coal miner for many years and a member of the UMWA Local District 31.
Edgar is survived by his wife, Julia Phillips; five children, Larry Phillips, Jan, Tina, Kimmy Dawn and Debbie; one stepson, Charles Dawson; and many grandchildren and other extended family members.
Services were private and under the direction of Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
Edgar was entombed at Beverly Hills Chapel of Tranquility Mausoleum.
