Delbert Eugene Reckart, 79, of Albright (Valley Point community), passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
The son of the late Daniel Henry and Rena Evelyn Strawser Reckart, he was born Dec. 5, 1940, in Crellin, Md.
Delbert worked for Rockville Mining and had his own business, Reckart Enterprises. He enjoyed his farm, being with family, helping others and his dog Tazzy.
He is survived by his wife, Lila Jean (Kelly) Reckart; three sons, David Reckart, Steven Reckart and his wife, Janie, and Norman Reckart and his companion, Amber Cline; a former daughter-in-law, Lori Reckart; a brother, Rodney Reckart and his wife, Dixie; three sisters, Lucy (Patty) Srauss and her husband, Bill, Sue Harris and Nelda Koch; six grandchildren, Kelly, Matthew, Monica, Garett, Carson and Carter; and two great-grandchildren, Kendra Rankin and Hunter Reckart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec.31, until the 11 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Pastor Cindy Lee officiating. Following the service, cremation will be provided by the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home.
