Damage to the house’s porch on Brockway Avenue after a truck crashed into it Monday night.
A vehicle chase Monday night ended when the truck fleeing police crashed into a porch on Brockway Avenue.
The chase was reported at 10:16 p.m. by Westover Police, according to MECCA 911, who referred The Dominion Post to that department for more information. Westover Police could not be reached for additional details on Christmas Eve Day.
“I was coming home from work and I walk in and see a truck in my front porch,” Chris Herrod said.
He said he got home around 10:30 p.m. A post with pictures of the crash appeared on a community Facebook page at 10:38 p.m.
On Tuesday, Morgantown’s Code Enforcement posted a notice on the house the truck crashed into.
“Support post needed to secure porch roof and debris cleaned up due to traffic accident striking the porch,” the violation said.
The house is owned by Bell Cross Property, according to the posting.
