HILTON HEAD, S.C. — Carsynn Sines scored 21 points, but the Preston High girls’ basketball team fell to Philip Simmons (S.C.) 54-49 in overtime Saturday.
The loss was the first of the season for the Knights (4-1). Michelle Thomas also scored 11.
Preston held a lead, but gave it up in the second half. Philip Simmons outscored the Knights 29-21 in the final two quarters, and then 7-2 in overtime.
Preston will play again at 3 p.m. today against Hilton Head in Hilton Head, S.C.
