Jesse R. Graham Jr., 91, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, in the Peroni’s Personal Care Home.
He was born in Morgantown on July 10, 1928, son of Jesse R. Graham Sr. and Flo Liston Graham. In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Stemple.
Jesse was a 1946 graduate of Morgantown High School then from West Virginian University with a degree in political science. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950 during the Korean War. He worked for the Montgomery County Public School System as the director of Supporting Services for over 30 years before his retirement. Jesse was a member of the Wesleyan United Methodist of Morgantown and a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg, Md. He loved working on his farm but, most importantly, life was about his family.
Left to cherish Jesse’s memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Darlys Tracy Graham; two sons, Jeffrey S. Graham, wife Karen, of Uniontown, Pa., and John S. Graham, of Falls Church, Va.; two grandsons, Stuart Graham and wife Maegan and Eric Graham and a great-grandson, Jess Allan Graham; and a brother, Ronald C. Graham and wife, Louise of Miamisburg, Ohio.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home & Crematories Inc., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa. A memorial service celebrating Jesse’s life will be held in the Wesleyan United Methodist Church, Morgantown, with a time of gathering from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, with a service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Randall Flanagan officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army and the Alzheimer’s Association.
