ELKINS, W.Va. — The Morgantown High boys’ basketball team defeated Elkins 75-44 on Monday to start the season.
Troy Battle led the Mohigans (1-0) with 13 points. Mac McMillen scored 10.
Morgantown made seven 3-pointers in the contest from five different players. The Mohigans’ defense also held Elkins to just 12 total field goals.
Morgantown got off to a hot start — outscoring Elkins 18-7 in the first quarter.
The Mohigans will play again at 6 p.m. Friday against Notre Dame at University High.
