Patricia A. Beveridge, 83, of Philippi, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, at her residence. She was born Aug. 28, 1936 in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Conrad.
Patricia worked at Shadow Bronze and Kinney Shoes in her earlier years. She was an outgoing person, spending time as a volunteer with Women’s Auxiliary in Preston county and a Foster Grandparent in Barbour County schools. Most importantly, she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving are two sons, David M. Beveridge and spouse Connie, of Lenox, and Steven E. Beveridge and spouse Teresa, of Tunnelton; one daughter, Cheryl A. Alexander and spouse Shane, whom she resided with in Philippi; seven grandchildren, Caleb Beveridge, of Tunnelton, Danielle Spriggs, of Winchester, Va., Justin Beveridge, of Naples, Fla., Shaunda Raines, of Milton, Jessica DeBerry, of Philippi, Courtney Stemple, of Locust Grove, Va., and Josh Everton, of Preston County; 13 great-grandchildren, Jacolyn Beveridge, Corbin Spriggs, Ruby and Reba Beveridge, Alexanderia, Addalyn and Zane Hipp, Colton DeBerry, Phoenix Raines, Madison, Nicholas and Brinkley Stemple, Felicia Albright and Rylan Everton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Beveridge; brother, Mike Conrad; and sister, Suzie Conrad.
At her request, her body was donated to Human Gift Registry. A Celebration of Life will be observed at Wright Funeral Home, 220 N. Walnut St., Philippi, from noon-3 p.m., the service hour, Saturday, Dec. 14, with the Rev. Bryan Headley officiating.
