Sherry Lynn Trovato, 67, passed away on Dec. 3, 2019. Born in Morgantown, the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Bean Trovato, Sherry moved to Baltimore, Md., and has remained a part of the Baltimore community for more than thirty years.
Sherry was a graduate of Morgantown High School in Morgantown and had a decorated career in the Maryland Correctional Facilities. She spent the last 19 years of her life managing the Sherry Lynn MHP in Star City. Many who got to know Sherry knew that she was fiercely loyal and passionate about her family, and many of her close friends quickly became extended family to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ruth Trovato, andher eldest sister, Libby Corrado.
Sherry leaves behind her partner of 27 years, Joann “Po” Abbatiello, her sister, Patricia (husband Anthony) Paris, brother-in-law, Michael Corrado (wife Marti), nieces, Danielle McWhorter and Gina Miller (husband Scott), and great-nieces, Ashley O’Brien and Mackenzie Hilton.
Sherry enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, her smart as a whip dog Sophie, watching her beloved Baltimore Ravens and was never too far away from the kitchen where she could be found cooking for her family, friends and loved ones.
Sherry will be most remembered for her overarching generosity and kindness of heart; she would give her all for her loved ones and was the first person to step up to help someone in need.
The family will receive friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, and 10 a.m. Tuesday, until time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Entombment will follow at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Tranquility Mausoleum.
