Julia Everett

Julia Lee “Judy” Everett, 82, of Morgantown, formerly of Masontown, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at the Fitzwater Nursing Facility in Fairmont.

She was born in Monongalia County, on Sept. 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Harry Cale and the late Mary (Shaffer) Cale.

Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a 1955 graduate of Masontown High School and a member of the Sturgiss United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed bowling, traveling and watching Mountaineer sports, especially basketball. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and truly loved Christmas.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Lynn Everett and wife Rhonda, of Bruceton Mill,s and Howard Mark Everett and wife Dr. Amy Everett, of Morgantown; two daughters, Toni Rae Burbridge and husband Stephen, of Bruceton Mills, and Lisa Ann Nassabeh, of Cross Lanes; 10 grandchildren, Drs. Jennifer Howell and husband Stephen, of Morgantown, Drs. Rebecca Burbridge and Amanda Hemmerich, of Cary, N.C., Jason Everett and wife Tressa, of Palm City, Fla., Tyler Everett and wife Gretta, of Palm City, Fla., Erin Everett, of Palm City, Fla., Justin Everett, of Morgantown, Alex Everett, of Los Angeles, Taylor Everett, of Morgantown, Mikayla Clendenin and husband Levi, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, and Sydney Nassabeh, of Cross Lanes; 11 great-grandchildren, Emma Howell, Adam Howell, Brynn Bouchard, Brody Everett, Blake Everett, Taegen Everett, Miles Howell, Wyatt Wansor, Carson Coverstone, Jacob Burbridge and Brooks Burbridge; and one sister, Biddie Phillips and husband George Henry, of Morgantown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Matthew Everett, in 2013; four sisters, Viola Dawson, Dorothy Huff, Mary Wolfe and Violet Winston; and a son-in-law, Tony Nassabeh.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, with the Rev. William Winston officiating. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Patty “Sara” Lewis and the staff at Fitzwater Nursing Facility in Fairmont. They were a true blessing to our family.
