Patricia Schmidl

Patricia A. Schmidl, 87, of Kingwood, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, at the Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Kingwood.

Patricia was born on March 30, 1932, in Oakland, Md., and was a daughter of the late Paul Edward and Mary Margaret (Eggers) Keller.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, attending to her flowers and gardening. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Kingwood.

Patricia is survived by three sons and spouses; Mike and Denise Schmidl, Andy Schmidl, Joseph and Tina Schmidl, all of Kingwood; seven daughters, Beverly Ammons, of Morgantown, Crystal and Mark Lantz, of Aurora, Patricia and Larry Johnson, of Kingwood, Catherine and Jim Mullen, of Rochester, Minn., Sandra Schmidl, of Poquoson, Va., Angela Schmidl, of Morgantown, and Dawn White, of Kingwood; two sisters, Virginia Ruth Walsh and Karoline and Cecil Hauser; 20 grandchildren and spouses, Michael Jr. and Mindy Schmidl, Martine and Andrew Stefan, Craig and Karyn Schmidl, Shaun and Chasity Schmidl, Ashley and J.R. Sabatelli, Bethany and Johnathan Stiles, Joshua and Alex Lantz and Jordan Lantz, Tai Johnson and Jake Dolence, Larynn and Shawn Shaffer, Christopher Johnson, Joseph Schmidl II, Alexis Schmidl, Gabrielle and Tommy Horn, Ian Mullen, Jennifer and James Ownes, Nicholas Jones, Kiersten, Cory, and Elizabeth White; and 22 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Martin A. Schmidl, who died on April 1, 2005; five sisters, her twin sister, Margaret Louise Conlon, Belva Tasker, Leola Tasker, Evangeline Reed and Paula Keller.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St. in Kingwood, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2. A vigil service will be conducted in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, in Howesville, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, with Father Andy Switzer as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Howesville.
