James Michael Watson, 50, of Burton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at his home. Born on March 22, 1969, he was raised in Point Marion, and graduated from the Albert Gallatin High School in 1987.
Jim was currently employed as a medical assistant for the Clay-Batelle Health Care Center in both Burton and Blacksville, and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Burton.
He spent his life giving to and caring for people. He was never a stranger to anyone, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He loved to dance, spend time with his three sons and had coached over the years his boys and others in youth basketball, baseball and church youth groups.
Surviving are his twins, Bryndin Michael Watson and Brody Lane Watson, both of Wana, and their mother, Donra Moore, and her son, Braylin Willard; his third son, Jaden McKay Watson at home with his mother, Leanna Watson; his brother, Daniel Watson, of Morgantown; mother, JoAnn Ervin and her husband, Daniel, of Arthurdale; a beloved niece, Delaney Watson and a special nephew, Landen Shine; aunt and uncle, Diane and Pete Watson, of Point Marion; several cousins; and many friends and co-workers.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael Linn Watson in 2015, and by his grandparents, Harold and Evelyn (Orr) Watson, in whose home he was raised.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa., from 1-6 p.m. Saturday. A brief service will begin at 6 p.m., with Pastor Jason Sleeth officiating. Private interment will take place in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
