Edward Turner

Edward Lee Turner, Jr. 62, of Osage and Granville, passed away on Friday Nov. 22, 2019 at Mon Health Medical Center. He was born January 30, 1957 in Parsons and moved to the Morgantown area in the 1990s

Ed served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a mechanic for various auto shops, fixing cars and working on race cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the races, fishing, playing poker, horseshoes and had a love for the color purple.

He is survived by a daughter, Shebeck Barbe; two grandchildren; and his good friends the Chesney and Layman families, who loved him as their own.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 12 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 27 until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Honoring Ed’s wishes cremation will follow.
