NORMAN, Okla. — The West Virginia volleyball team closes its road slate at 7 p.m. today as the Mountaineers take on Oklahoma in a league tilt at McCasland Field House.
“Oklahoma is a good team, and it’s always tough playing on the road in the Big 12,” WVU coach Reed Sunahara said. “Hopefully, we can show up tomorrow night and compete as hard as we can. If we do that, we can walk away with great results.”
West Virginia (11-15, 2-11) and Oklahoma (17-8, 9-5) will meet for the second time this season, with the Sooners claiming a 3-1 win in their most recent meeting on Sept. 28.
West Virginia suffered a pair of conference losses at the WVU Coliseum last week. WVU dropped a four-set match to TCU and fell to Texas Tech in five sets.
Oklahoma has won two of its last three matches, most recently picking up a 3-0 win at Kansas State.
Today’s contest against the Sooners will be broadcasted live on SoonerSports.TV, with live video and stats links available on wvusports.com.
