Peter Francis Guariglia “Sarge,” 71 years young, departed his life on Earth on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at 4:55 p.m. at Madison Rehabilitation Care Center, to join his family in heaven following a long battle of cancer.
Sarge was born in Morgantown, on April 1, 1948, a son of the late Peter Joseph and Mary Ann Guariglia.
Sarge served in Vietnam, 1969-1970, and was a retired millwright.
He is survived by the love of his life for 47 memorable years, Linda; one loving son, Kenny Haines (Bonnie), cherished grandchildren, Chelsa Flint (Austin), Cody Haines (Loran), Alisha Haines, Marcus Haines and Averie Haines; great-grandchildren, Reese and Pierce Flint; two sisters, Cynthia Perodeau (Mark) and Jane Fried; and nieces and nephews, Abigail (Alan) Somerstein, Benjamin and Eliana Somerstein, and Alexander Fried and Arielle Fried.
In honoring his wishes, McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services and no services will take place.
