MORGANTOWN — The Legislature will go into special session on Monday to consider three bills proposed by Gov. Jim Justice.
Justice announced the special session on Thursday; he timed it to correspond with the second day of legislative interims, when senators and delegates are already at the Capitol.
According to Justice’s proclamation, one bill will deal with the state Tourism Act and the Tourism Act Tax Credit Program to allow the tourism office to review, process and approve tax credit applications made under the act.
The second will bring certain DUI expungement procedures into conformity with federal law.
The third deals with Road Fund money to allow for debt service payment on Rounds 2 and 3 of Roads to Prosperity bonds.
Monday’s interim meetings begin at 8 a.m. The special session will begin at noon.
