Ellen Marie Kelly

Ellen Marie Kelly, 79, of Kingwood, died on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at Mon Health Medical Center.

Ellen was born Sept. 11, 1940, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Dailey B. and Florence (Dunn) Hillery.

She retired in 2003, after working 23 years at Hopemont State Hospital, where she was a CNA and assisted patients in doing activities. Ellen enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, canning, playing bingo but most of all having get-togethers with her family.

She is survived by six sons and spouses, Douglas Lee Kelly and Brenda, of Albright, Elias “Frank” Franklin Kelly and Sylvia, of Albright, James “Jim” Roger Kelly, of Albright, William “Eddie” Edward Kelly and Darla, of New Baden, Ill., Lorin “Richie” Richard Kelly and Lisa, of Albright, Kevin Wayne Kelly and Crystal, of Kingwood; two daughters, Beverly Marie Kelly, of Morgantown, and Mary F. Kelly of Fairborn, Ohio; three sisters, Alda Smith, of Kingwood, Donna Shaffer and Louise Hall, both of Albright; 14 grandchildren, Clinton F. Kelly, Jennifer A. DeMicco, Stephanie G. Hamilton, Shana A. Fink, Salena R. Kelly, Makayla M. Kelly, Ashlynn D. Kelly, Logan E. Kelly, Takoda Kelly, Quinn Kelly, Samantha Horning, Ethan R. Kelly, Austin Kelly, Kendra Kelly; six great-grandchildren, Katelyn Kelly, Amy Hamilton, Olivia Kelly, Hayley Hamilton, Ruth Ann DeMicco, Benjamin Kelly and one on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Richard Lee Kelly, 1998; her daughter, Lucinda M. Kelly; four brothers, Franklin, Lawrence, Wiliam and Harold Hillery; two sisters, Leona Powell and Gloria Shaffer.

Family will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price St., from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16; from noon Sunday, Nov. 17, until the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor A.C. Mann officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kingwood.

The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Ellen’s memory to the Kingwood Apostolic Church, 305 South Price St., Kingwood, WV 26537.
