Wayne William Pifer

Wayne William Pifer, 56, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 at his home. He was born Nov. 23, 1962, in Trenton, N.J., a son of Lawrence Pifer, of Martinsburg, and the late Donna Breining Pifer.

Wayne was employed as the general manager of the Mountain Line Transit Authority. He loved sports, especially football and golf. Wayne was also a Star Trek fan and loved going to Disneyworld.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and aides from WV Caring Hospice for the kindness shown to Wayne and his family.

In addition to his father, Wayne is survived by his wife, Kimberly Minnig Pifer, two daughters, Taryn Pifer, of Pittsburgh, and Kira Pifer, of Morgantown, one sister, Christine Pifer and one brother, Lawrence (Tara) Pifer Jr., his stepmother, Lucille Black Pifer, mother and father-in-law, John and Florence Minnig, sisters-in-law, Cherri Minnig and Faith Zenker and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
