Patricia Marie Laverick Sharp, 77, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. Patricia was born in Johnstown, Pa. on March 8, 1942, a daughter of the late James and Thelma Laverick.
Patricia worked for the Monongalia County Schools for 32 years as a cook. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be greatly missed by her family.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Robin L. Sharp Westfall (Crystal), of Morgantown; son, Dana V. Sharp (Jennie), of Morgantown; sisters, Judy Hicks (James) and Raetta Conlon; brother, James Laverick; grandchildren, Paul James Sharp (Lorree), Marquita George (Travis), Clorressa Jackson and Addilee Westfall; and great grandchildren, Kyia George, Izik George, Lennon Sharp, Makenzie Jackson, Liam Sharp and Orion Sharp.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Dana J. Sharp; brother-in-law, John Conlon; mother-in-law, Mary Dale Sharp; and father-in-law, Victor Sharp.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to Amedisys Hospice, especially Audrey and Emily, for their loving care and compassion they provided. The family would also like to thank Lyn D’Christopher and Michael O’Keefe, Md., at Mon Health Heart & Vascular Center for their care of Patricia for over 20 years.
In accordance to her wishes, McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services. Patricia will be inurned at Bethel Cemetery beside her husband.
