Frances Maloney Rosi, 90, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019. She was born in Newburg, on Aug. 9, 1929, daughter of late Leonard B. Davis, and Irene Maloney Davis.
Dr. Frances Rosi was a professor at Fairmont State College where she taught for many years. She was very active in church activities; she was also an organist and led the choir for many years at St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed her winters in Florida for seventeen years.
Frances is survived by her husband, Anthony Rosi, of Fairmont; two sons, Michael F. Maloney, of Montrose, Va.; Marc A. Maloney and wife Diane, of Woodbridge, Va.; and two stepchildren, Steven A. Rosi, of Owensboro, Ky., and Stephanie Rosi Dillon and husband Mark, of Raleigh, N.C.. Frances had four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brother, James L. Davis; and sister, Anna Katheryn Davis.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., in Fairmont, from 1-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 , with vigil services being held at Domico Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m. with Deacon Lou Belldina. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1660 Mary Lou Retton Drive, Fairmont, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, with Father Vincent Joseph as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown.
