Dolores “Doie” Jean Shay Rodeheaver, 91, of Pleasant Valley, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.
She was born March 12, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Mildred Cale Shay.
Doie is survived by three children, Dana Rodeheaver Shay and his wife, Kim, of Fairmont, Dean Rodeheaver, of Green Bay, Wis.; and Drema Ford and her husband, Jay, of Fairmont; six grandchildren, Spencer Ford and his wife, Jessica, Jessica Ford, Bridget Riley and her husband, Michael, Auri Anna Shay, Eliada Rodeheaver and Kaia Rodeheaver; a great-grandchild, Lillianna Susan Ford; two sisters, Bonnie Lou Ball, of Tom’s River, N.J., and Dottie Brand, of Bridgeport; three stepgrandchildren, Merav, Tamar and Gidon Datan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doie was preceded in death by her husband, Don Parnell Rodeheaver; and a daughter, Donita Rodeheaver.
Doie was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and Garden Club. She was a driver for Meals on Wheels and volunteered at the food pantry and the Wesley Foundation. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook and gardener.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. The casket will lie in state at Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1511 Pleasant Valley Road, Fairmont, from 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with the Rev. Andrew Tennant officiating. A committal service will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery & Mausoleum in Fairmont.
