MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Looking to get back on track in the second half of Big 12 play, the West Virginia volleyball team welcomes Kansas State for a 6 p.m. game today at the WVU Coliseum.
“We played well in spurts throughout all the Big 12 matches this season,” WVU coach Reed Sunahara said. “We just have to put it together to where we are consistent and applying what we are learning in practice in the games. We also have to finish matches when it comes close.”
WVU (10-11, 1-7) has picked up a victory over K-State (7-13, 2-6) in four of its last five meetings, including a home-and-away series sweep in 2017.
WVU dropped a pair of Big 12 matches on the road last week, falling in three sets at TCU before dropping a four-set match at then-No. 1 Baylor.
K-State has won one of its last seven matches in Big 12 play, defeating Kansas in five sets last week. The Wildcats later wrapped up the first half of their Big 12 schedule with a three-set loss at Iowa State.
